I had been steadily losing my hearing for over a decade, but the last five years it had gotten really bad. I was constantly saying “huh?”, especially whenever it was a higher pitched noise, like the voices of my wife and daughter.
When I first put them in, I have to say they did not feel very comfortable. It felt like I constantly had something in my ear (on account of I had something in my ear…) and I had to get used to that.
What really mattered though, was I could really hear for the first time in a long time. I can hear my wife clearly, even when she’s in the next room. I can hear my daughter talk, even when we’re in the car. I hear birds again, something that I don’t know how long it had been since I heard.
The best thing about going to Sage was that I was treated as a person, not as a customer. I felt like Dave cared about my experience and he wanted to ensure that I was being treated right. When a problem developed with one of the devices, a quick plan of action was created so that I would go without hearing aids for the shortest time possible.
